It’s the news we’ve been waiting for, but not how we expected it, with Joe Jonas appearing to have leaked a My Chemical Romance reunion during a recent interview.

Ever since My Chemical Romance announced their break-up back in 2013, fans have been wondering just when the group would get back together.

Sadly, the last year alone has seen a number of disappointing entries into this “will they, won’t they” routine, with frontman Gerard Way noting it’s unlikely the group will reunite, while both Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and Warped Tour’s Kevin Lyman have noted their attempts to bring the group back together have been fruitless.

However, one of the most unlikeliest sources has delivered the news we weren’t expecting, with Joe Jonas of all people supposedly confirming that My Chemical Romance have rekindled their… romance.

During a recent interview with UK radio station KISS FM, Joe Jonas revealed that he had some inside information in regards to the future of My Chemical Romance.

“I’ve got some dirt,” Jonas revealed. “My Chemical Romance were apparently rehearsing next to us in New York recently, which — I thought they broke up, so…that’s the gossip!”

While this is obviously not the huge announcement of a wide-scale tour or a new album, this does seem to indicate that things may be stirring within the seemingly-defunct My Chemical Romance camp.

Of course, this is a rather timely announcement though. With My Chemical Romance’s Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge turning 15 years old last week, and Gerard Way’s The Umbrella Academy being green-lit for a second season, this news could only add to fans’ excitement.

However, there’s a good chance that if MCR do indeed confirm their reunion sometime soon, any potential tour dates might need to slot in between Gerard Way’s already-packed schedule.

Either way, hordes of diehard supporters (including yours truly) are undoubtedly hoping that these rumours of a reunion will indeed come to fruition sooner rather than later.
