Julien Baker has cancelled her upcoming European dates, citing “ongoing medical issues” as the reason.

Julien Baker, who has been touring non-stop for the last two years, has now cancelled her planned European dates, as announced by the Facebook page for Haldern Pop Festival, where she was scheduled to perform.

The page, which declared the news in a recent post, details in German that Julien has not only pulled out of Haldern Pop Festival, but all upcoming European dates as well.

It writes:

“Dear friends, Julien Baker has had to cancel all European dates for health reasons, which we are also affected by. Unfortunately, we can’t do anything but send her quick recovery wishes. We are currently thinking about how to deal with the situation. But what we can already tell you, Jack Alley will perform in the lower rhine tent on Saturday, but that was clear before.
Due to ongoing medical issues, Julien Baker will be cancelling all currently planned live shows.”

It is yet unclear what these medical issues are, as Baker is yet to make any kind of statement. She has however retweeted announcements of other show cancellations, which can be seen below.

The festivals which are affected by this announcement are as follows, and these dates have been removed from her website:

Øyafestivalen in Oslo, Norway, 7th of August

Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden, 8th of August

Haldern Pop Festival in Haldern-Rees, Germany, 10th of August

LWL – Museum für Kunst und Kultur in Münster, Germany, 12th of August

Congés Annulés in Luxembourg, Luxembourg, 13th of August

Paredes de Coura Festival in Paredes de Coura, Portugal, 15th of August

We wish Julien Baker a speedy recovery, and hope to see her healthy and happy, our thoughts are with her at this time.
