Kanye West has previewed his latest song titled ‘DONDA’. A track honouring his late mother Donda West on what would have been her 71st birthday.
The preview interpolates Donda West reciting KRS-One lyrics from his 2000 track ‘Sound of da Police’, before Kanye chimes in after the 1:30 mark. Donda’s recital is backed by a moving gospel soundtrack. The video features spliced-together footage of Kanye and his mother.
“In loving memory of my incredible mother on her birthday,” west wrote in a tweet. “My mom reciting KRS1 lyrics This song is called DONDA”

Footage featured in the clip was posted earlier in the day by Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West. Kardashian shared a short clip on Twitter of Kanye and Donda rapping to ‘Hey Mama’.
West hasn’t confirmed whether ‘DONDA’ will appear on his forthcoming 10th record, God’s Country.
Last month, West released his first new music for 2020: a collaboration with Travis Scott called ‘Wash Us In The Blood’. He also appeared on Ty Dolla $ign’s latest single ‘Ego Death.’ The track features Kanye West, FKA twigs, Skrillex, and serpentwithfeet.

Amid all these music projects, Kanye has still found the time to announce a presidential bid.
On July 4th, Kanye West took to Twitter to announce that he plans to run in the 2020 presidential election. On the heels of that announcement, the music mogul took part in a bizarre Forbes interview that saw him espouse anti-vaxxer and pro-life commentary.
The four-hour Forbes interview saw West make a slew of strange claims, including that he had coronavirus — which he branded “the mark of the beast”—, that American toothpaste and deodorant “affect our ability to be of service to God,” and his ideology on foreign policies, abortion, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, taxes, China and more.
