Fans of Kanye West look set to receive some new music from the hip-hop iconic soon, with none other than Nicki Minaj appearing on the new tune.

Back in 2018, Kanye West went through a rather productive period, overseeing the release of five albums in as many weeks. However, it seems that he was far from done, announcing the release of Yandhi back in September.

Ostensibly a follow-up to Yeezus, the record features similarly minimal artwork, and was originally slated to be released on September 20th  – coinciding with West’s Saturday Night Live appearance.

However, as that date came and went, Kanye soon revealed that the record was being pushed back until November 23rd so that he could go to Africa to finish recording it.

However, a few weeks before this date, West revealed the record was again being delayed, though this time, no new release date was announced.

Since then, we’ve not received too much else. Sure, Kanye’s Sunday Services saw some new tunes being previewed, though very little else has come to light.

Now, thanks to Keeping Up With The Kardashians, of all things, we have a bit more insight into what Yandhi might contain.

As E! reports, Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians featured footage of Kim Kardashian accompanying Kanye West into a New York City recording studio to work on some new tunes.

While working on the track ‘New Body’, Kanye’s producer questions whether or not Nicki Minaj would be a good fit for the track.

“She did ask me, ‘Can Kanye send me new music?'” Kim explained, before setting up a FaceTime call between the two artists.

While Kanye explained that the collaboration was “gonna be fire”, Minaj claimed it would contain “things that [women] wanna say and be feeling like they can’t say.”

Seemingly agreeing to this, Kanye simply nodded before simply stating, “that’s all we do.”

According to an interview with XXL, this new track will also feature the likes of Ty Dolla $ign, with engineering work handled by Kevin Celik.

“It’s Kanye, Nicki and Ty Dolla $ign,” Celik explained, “[and] it’s Kim K-inspired for sure.”

At this stage, we’re not too sure when – if ever – we’ll finally hear the new music from Yandhi, but with Kanye West set to bring his Sunday Service to Coachella soon, we might finally get a long-awaited preview in just a couple of weeks.
