Kasey Chambers has announced her massive ‘Backbone Australia Tour’, kicking off after her 13th album release on Friday, October 4th.
The 30-date tour starts on Thursday, January 23rd at Tamworth Town Hall during the Tamworth Country Music Festival. It will travel through capital cities and regional centers across NSW, VIC, SA, WA, NT, QLD, and TAS over five months next year.
Chambers is excited to continue her family tradition of hitting the road in her truck and caravan to bring her live show to every corner of Australia.
“And now, my favourite part of my ‘life in music’ falls into place…the live tour in 2025, we will be embarking on the ‘Backbone tour’ for the first half of the year throughout Australia. Celebrating my new releases Backbone (the album) and Just Don’t Be a Dickhead (the book of profound lessons I’ve learnt through the years), my full band and I will be visiting songs throughout my career that shaped who I am,” Chambers shares.
Chambers recently unveiled new material: her book Just Don’t Be a Dickhead… and Other Profound Things I’ve Learnt (Hardie Grant Books). It’s a collection of stories and experiences she’s gathered over the years, which have inspired her new album, Backbone.
“I can’t wait to be sharing some new songs along with my old favourites, and the stories and secrets behind where they came from, like never before. For me, the ‘Backbone Tour’ already feels like the live soundtrack to my life.”
Pre-sale tickets will be available on Wednesday, September 25th, at 11am local time. General public tickets will go on sale on Friday, September 30th, at 11am local time.
