Kanye West may have needed a gold digger in 2008 after he found out the hard way that not everything he touches does in fact turn to gold. Way back then, the rapper/producer announced to the world he was working on a new show for Comedy Central called Alligator Boots.
The show, from the guys that brought us Crank Yankers, was to feature comedy sketches and musical numbers in what Holiday Reporter dubbed as ‘hip-hop meets the Muppets.’
Kanye played the host for the the pilot, but it was intended that each show would have a different host in the same style as Saturday Night Live and The Muppet Show; which it seemed like a strange hybrid of.
A few months later this show seemed the disappear into the history books, with Kanye going on to record his critically acclaimed My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy a few years later. Thankfully however, the pilots director Konee Rok has whipped together a 10-minute behind the scenes video of the pilot including footage intended for the show.
If you like the idea of a horny muppet serenading Kim Kardashian dressed as Princess Leia then you won’t be disappointed.
