Kid Cudi has blasted music website New Musical Express after they published a factually incorrect article about his thoughts on his recent Eminem collaboration,’The Adventures Of Moon Man & Slim Shady.’

In an article that’s since been deleted, NME mistakenly claimed Kid Cudi was initially unhappy with the track he created with the ‘Venom’ rapper.

Not happy with the mix-up, Cudi took to Twitter to call out the website.

“Never said this and I’m not sure how yall came up w it,” he wrote alongside a screenshot of the article. “I was clearly excited about my feature. Never once said I was unhappy about it nor did my energy suggest that. So to NME, get ur shit together and stop spreading LIES.”

The mishap seems to have stemmed from a quote from Cudi’s interview on Lil Wayne’s Young Money Radio, with the publication running with the headline “Kid Cudi has revealed that he wasn’t happy with how his recent collaboration with Eminem turned out at first.”

It seems that the writer misinterpreted what Cudi meant when he said Eminem “destroyed” the track, saying:

“I got him on the phone. I had to tell him, I was like, ‘Yo bro, you fucking destroyed this shit.’ Because I was nervous because I was like, ‘Man, I’m fucking going get him Eminem on my song, he going body me on my own shit.’ But I was like, fuck it. like, fuck it. I just want a joint with Em.”

‘The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady’ is Cudi’s second track of 2020 follow ‘Leader of the Delinquents’, which came out in May. Eminem released his 11th studio album Music to Be Murdered By in January.
