Goons of Doom guitarist and Sydney music identity Tim ‘Killerwhale’Cooney has been diagnosed with a very rare cancerous tumour in his sinus. As such needs to go into hospital for surgery next week to have it removed and 6 weeks of radiotherapy treatment will follow. There are also going to be big dental operations and plastic surgery in the months after radiotherapy to reconstruct his face. He will be out of work for about four months. Tim’s many friends have clubbed together to support Killerwhale with a benefit to help cover medical costs and living costs so he can concentrate on getting better and heal as fast as he can.
The benefit is to be held at Beach Road Hotel at Bondi Beach this Saturday 13th August. There are major prizes to be won with a door prize and raffle tickets sold on the night. The GOONS OF DOOM are going to be playing as well as VAN SHE TECH and special guests CLETUS!
