As we tend towards the end of 2019, Aussie music icon Kim Salmon isn’t winding things down in the slightest, looking to 2020 with the announcement of a run of headline dates.

Ever since he first burst onto the scene back in the ’70s, Kim Salmon has been one of the most influential figures in Australian music. Rising to fame as a member of The Scientists, it wasn’t long before he had joined The Beasts Of Bourbon, founded The Surrealists, and set himself up as a music icon.

With numerous bands and projects following over the years, Salmon hasn’t once thought about slowing down, continuing to amp up his output and live shows as time has gone on.

Now, ahead of a book launch for Nine Parts Water One Part Sand. Kim Salmon And The Formula For Grunge, an induction into the WA Music Hall Of Fame for The Scientists, two new solo singles, and a split single from himself and The Scientists, the rocker has somehow found time to plot a new solo tour for early next year.

Kicking off at the end of January next year, these shows will see Kim Salmon launch his tour in Hobart before travelling around to Adelaide, Bassandean, Perth, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, and Beechworth, delivering a different lineup at just about every show.

Between performing as a solo act at some shows, and performing with a lineup that may or may not contain Claire Burchall, Douglas Galbraith, Todd Pickett, and more, these gigs are undoubtedly going to be a perfect way for music fans to witness a living legend in action.

Of course, if that’s not enough for you, Kim Salmon And The Surrealists will be performing at the Memo Music Hall in Melbourne next month, while his works will be seen on display at an art exhibition at Mario’s Cafe in Fitzroy later in the month.
