Over 100 people were taken to hospital during a two-day electro music festival at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Park. The LA Fire Department blamed many of the injuries on people rushing barriers on Saturday (June 26) attempting to overwhelm security and get inside the 14th annual Electric Daisy Carnival, which featured performances by Moby and Will.I.Am.
The event drew 185,000 people over Friday and Saturday, with 94 incidents reported on the Friday, 52 of whom were taken to hospitals. On Saturday, 132 incidents were reported, 62 of which required punters being hospitalised.
