Lady Gaga has made a surprise performance in Los Angeles, performing a set of Frank Sinatra covers at a Fred Durst-organised jazz night.

For a couple of years now, Limp Bizkit’s iconic (and divisive) frontman, Fred Durst, has been hosting a weekly jazz night at Los Angeles’ magic-themed Black Rabbit Rose lounge.

While this information might be shocking enough on its own, it turns out that this eclectic evening of standards and classics has the power to attract some pretty big names.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, recent Oscar winner Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at the Hollywood venue on Thursday night, turning up to perform a pair of Frank Sinatra covers.

“I’m here late to ruin the party,” the singer said to fans as she took to the stage.

Performing with a backing band, Lady Gaga introduced the audience to her first song with a brief speech.

“My whole life, you know, I’ve been called irresponsible,” she explained to the crowd. “It doesn’t make me so mad because it’s kind of true… and I like to hear the truth.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Lady Gaga has performed these tracks live, with ‘Call Me Irresponsible’ and ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ making appearances during her recent Las Vegas residency.

In recent news, Lady Gaga also revealed that she had been making a few surprise appearances at showings of A Star Is Born, telling late-night host Jimmy Kimmel she likes to sneak in to watch the film amongst her fans.

“I’m squatted in the back with the popcorn, like, hiding and then I sneak [out] 30 minutes out because the end of the movie is so sad that I can’t take it,” she explained last month. “So I’m just, like, crying with my popcorn.”
