On Saturday evening, Lana Del Rey kicked off her Norman Fucking Rockwell! tour — embarking on the stage of Jones Beach Theater in New York.

Two songs into the set, Del Rey performed a cover of the Leonard Cohen classic, ‘Chelsea Hotel #2’ with Cohen’s son, Adam. The tribute to the late position fell on what would have been Leonard’s 85th birthday.

The pair had previously collaborated at a tribute concert to Cohen on the one-year anniversary of his passing. The tribute also saw performances from Courtney Love, Sting, Elvis Costello, and Feist. Del Rey initially covered the track back in 2013. You can check out the performance below.

This wasn’t the only on-stage collaboration that came to fruition during the performance. At one point, Del Rey invited Sean Lennon — son of Yoko Ono and John Lennon— on stage to perform their collaborative track ‘Tomorrow Never Came’ off Lust For Life.

Earlier this month, the first song from Leonard Cohen’s posthumous record Thanks For The Dance was unveiled. The song, is a one-minute spoken-word ditty laid over stark instrumentals. You can check it out here.

Thanks For The Dance is set to arrive on November 22. Developed by son Adam, it aims to fulfil Leonard’s wish to complete the “bare musical sketches” left behind from his final album You Want It Darker.
