Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like Lana Del Rey to have, but she has it, releasing a brand new double music video for new tunes ‘Fuck It I Love You’ and ‘The Greatest’.

The double music video, which has been teased now for quite some time on Lana’s Instagram, utilises visuals synonymous with the brand new era of Lana music currently being washed upon us. With album Norman Fucking Rockwell well on its way, the motif of ships and the sea continue themselves, as everyone’s favourite balladeer sings in some of her greatest tracks yet.

“The culture’s lit and if this is it, I had a ball / I guess that I’m burnt out after all” the artist sings on ‘The Greatest’, making us wonder if after all these years without really stopping, Lana is just burnt out with all of it. This wouldn’t be the first time we’ve heard hints of Lana being tired with the world, after her promo videos for last album Lust for Life teased hints of the artist being fed up with the way the world was heading politically.

Coming in on ‘Fuck It I Love You’, Lana croons “And if I wasn’t so fucked up, I think I’d fuck you all the time / It’s killing me slowly.” It’s words like these that remind us that Lana is still making magic, and still being as raw as ever.

Just recently Lana Del Rey released a track for the support of shooting victims in America titled ‘Looking for America’, with 100% of the proceeds going towards those in need.

“Now I know I’m not a politician and I’m not trying to be so excuse me for having an opinion- but in light of all of the mass shootings and the back to back shootings in the last couple of days which really affected me on a cellular level I just wanted to post this video that our engineer Laura took 20 minutes ago,” she said.
