Liam Gallagher has taken part in a rather justified onstage outburst after someone in his audience threw a fish at him while performing in Spain.

Over the years, we’ve seen countless inappropriate projectiles thrown at artists while performing live. From Illy being bottled onstage, to Shannon Noll being on the receiving end of a lit firecracker and a can of beer, plenty of acts have been had various questionable objects thrown at them. However, Liam Gallagher might have just witnessed one of the strangest of these incidents.

As NME reports, Liam Gallagher was performing at Spain’s Festival Internacional de Benicàssim on Sunday night when an audience member decided to show their appreciation by throwing a fish on stage.

The former Oasis singer was just about to jump into a performance of ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’ when the offending animal made an appearance.

“Which dickhead threw the fish here then?” Gallagher asked. “Fucking stinky, smelly fish, man. Now listen man, it really ain’t that fucking bad, man.”

“Don’t be throwing fish on stage, mate. I’ve seen a lot worse than this shit. Alright?”

Liam’s confused and indignant nature behaviour did not let up until someone came on stage to remove the fish in question.

“I can’t be fucking singing while there’s a fish there, mate,” he concluded, before finishing hit set as planned.

While the culprit is undoubtedly still on the loose, the incident tends to raise an awful lot of questions. After all, who not only decides to bring a fish to a music festival, but who decides that throwing it onstage is acceptable behaviour? Sadly, this might just be one for the ages.
