Heads up Kasabian fans, your four favourite lads of Leicester have at long-last released a fresh track, however what follows may come as quite the shock.
Stunning Kasbianites everywhere, ‘Eez-eh’ is the band’s first new release since 2011’s blockbuster Velociraptor! and sees the rockers focus upon a far dirtier dancefloor aesthetic, producing fat electronic samples, an infectious beat that’s virtually impossible not to move your feet to, as well as having a chuckle with lyrics like “every day is brutal/now we’re being watched by Google”.
Speaking with NME earlier this year, dual head-honchos Serge Pizzorno and Tom Meighan commented on the different nature of their upcoming full-length release, “there are a lot of bands who try and do this kind of music but fail because they’ve got no songs.” Continuing carelessly, “it’s a real fucking ‘up yours’.”
The indie-rock outfit’s brand-spanking new release may not be exactly what you were expected, but at least Kasabian are pushing themselves into new directions. And rest assured, the more you spin this track, the more addictive it becomes.
