Noel Gallagher, the self-professed (and publically regarded) more talented Gallagher brother won’t seem to back down when it comes to engaging in one famous pairing’s more juvenile tiffs.

Last year, during a performance on Jools Holland, Noel’s band featured a quite eclectic addition – a scissors player to the percussion section to add just that extra layer of texture. When interviewed by BBC Radio 1, Liam voiced his disdain with the choice saying that he “couldn’t hear” the ‘instrument’ and that he’d “have someone sharpening a pencil at my gig,”

Last night Noel took to the stage of The Tonight Show and performed the track ‘It’s a Beautiful World’ of the album Who Built the Moon? featuring none other than a scissors player that can be heard loud and clear. A true testament to the sound engineers on the show, considering they need to make their way over the three guitars and Noel’s bellowing voice, this really proves just how far the brothers will go to one-up each other. Ah, sibling rivalry.
