English singer-songwriter Lucy Spraggan has announced her long awaited debut Australian tour, playing a string of intimate venues.
With nearly a decade of experience under her belt, Lucy Spraggan’s long awaited venture to Australia is finally in the works. Beginning her career of success in 2012, Spraggan served as a contestant on The X Factor contestant and achieved record breaking success by becoming the first artist to have a Top 40 album and single before live shows even aired.
Although she was unable to complete The X Factor competition due to illness, her success has soared, seeing her signed with Columbia Records. With many of her albums climbing the UK charts and five impressive records in her arsenal, Spraggan’s tour down under is sure to get people in the grooving mood.
With heaps of her signature folk-indie tunes to boogie to such as ‘Last Night (Beer Fear)’, ‘Tea & Toast’, ‘You’re Too Young’, and ‘Lucky Stars’, punters are surely in for a treat when it comes to this down-to-Earth singer-songwriter. Attendees also likely to catch her recent cover of The Proclaimers ‘I’m Going To Be (500 Miles)’.
In an interview with Soundazed, Spraggan describes her shows as “feel[ing] like home,” stating that “it’s a very welcoming and open space. It’s really amazing connecting with people that enjoy my music and I love playing live.”
Lucy Spraggan’s debut Australian tour begins in April with a short week of gigs. With the intimate venues she’ll be playing, each show will surely be something special.
