She’s kicked goals on the charts, the airwaves, and on the Hottest 100, but now Mallrat is set to dominate the world of video games.

When Mallrat first burst onto the scene a few years ago, few could’ve imagine just how popular this Brisbane muso would be.

Having released a number of stunning tunes in recent years, her most recent EP – Driving Music – found itself a wider audience thanks to its lead single, ‘Charlie’. Named after her dog, the track has been a huge hit on the airwaves, and looks set to place high on the 2019 Hottest 100.

Now though, it appears that your votes could be split between the original mix and the all new Simlish version.

Check out Mallrat’s recent Instagram post:

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Mallrat revealed that she had been asked to record a version of ‘Charlie’ in the Simlish language for the upcoming addition in the Sims series.

“Honest to God… The Sims commissioned Me To re record ‘Charlie’ in Simlish,” Mallrat wrote. “Arguably this is more culturally significant than a Grammy.”

Set to arrive on The Sims 4 Discover University soundtrack, there’s no word as to wether this track will get a look-in for the 2019 Hottest 100, but it’s still early days.

For those wondering, Simlish is the fictional language spoken by residents of The Sims universe. Created by Will Wright back in 1996, the language has become so popular that a number of big-name artists have also been recruited to re-record their songs in the language.

While artists like Paramore, Patrick Stump, Jimmy Eat World, Rise Against, My Chemical Romance, and All Time Low have all recorded in Simlish, you can definitely understand how excited the great Mallrat might be feeling after achieving this huge honour.
