Pop princess Mandy Moore has hit the studio for the first time in almost a decade. Moore posted a snippet of a song she’s been working on to Instagram, with the caption “”Getting back to it. It’s time. I miss it. I’m not scared anymore. No more excuses. No more allowing someone’s else insecurities to dictate my relationship to music and singing.”

The reference to “insecurities” may have been subtle shade directed at her ex-husband Ryan Adams, who she divorced in 2016. Get it sis! Ryan Adams will never release a song that goes off as hard as ‘Crush’ does.

Moore rose to fame in 1999 with her debut single ‘Candy’ that peaked at #41 on the Billboard hot 100. She’s released a total of six studio albums, her most recent effort Amanda Leigh was released in 2009. Her music career took a backseat to acting sometime in the mid 2000s. Moore is currently starring in Emmy nominated tv series This Is Us.
