Mariah Carey has begun the official countdown to her favourite holiday, and she’s celebrating by giving away gifts to her fans every day.
You know it is Christmas time when Mariah Carey appears from the woodworks to remind us every single day to feel jolly and well-spirited.
Yep, it is true, the countdown to Christmas has begun already and where the hell did the year go. Mariah Carey, as always, is leading the charge for Christmas cheer this year. On Dec. 1, the superstar took to social media to introduce her very own digital advent calendar for the big day.
Dressed as a shiny toy soldier from the All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour, Carey can be seen informing her ‘Lambs’ that she will be counting down the 25 Days of Mariah Christmas all month long with an online kind of advent calendar.
Promising “lots of fun surprises,” the queen of festive said she’s “just looking forward to each and every day till Christmas” before blowing a kiss to the Lambily and signing off with a wave.
For Dec. 2, Carey lets fans in on her favourite Christmas movies, including Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Elf. (Naturally, the queen of Christmas’s animated holiday film Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas is You, as well as 2017’s The Star — for which she provided the theme song of the same name — both made the list as well.)
Of course, the 2019 holiday season also marks the 25th anniversary of Carey’s seminal Christmas album, 1994’s Merry Christmas, so fans can expect even more surprises from the Christmas queen as she celebrates the milestone all month long.
