Marilyn Manson has lent his dark and brooding voice to a classic song by The Doors, in a cover nobody saw coming but no doubt everyone will appreciate.

Marilyn Manson has teamed up with producer Shooter Jennings to record a cover of The Doors’ ‘The End’ along with a visual created by Zev Deans.

Have a listen to the dark, lush version of the song here:

Following an incendiary set at Travis Scott’s Astroworld earlier this month Manson has been confirmed as a special guest on Ozzy Osbourne’s “No More Tours 2” which will hit arenas in North America in May of 2020 including NYC’s Madison Square Garden (June 22) and the Hollywood Bowl (July 27).

“Marilyn is killer live,” Osbourne shared in a statement. “He’s so fucking out there, and if I think that, then look out, we’re all fucked.”

‘The End’ follows Manson’s recent cover of God’s Gonna Cut You Down, shared in October with a cinematic video shot by director Tim Mattia.

The track was a cover of a traditional folk song, that has been covered numerous times in the past 70 years. Elvis Presley covered the track on his gospel album Alternate Masters Vol.3 and Odetta on her record Odetta Sings Ballads and Blues. Its most famous iteration was Johnny Cash’s 2003 cover of the track.
