To say we’re excited for the arrival of Mark Ronson on Aussie shores for Splendour In The Grass and his subsequent sideshows would be a gross underestimate, especially now considering the insane list of guest vocalists, band and support acts that have been revealed for his mini tour.
Ronson has very happily confirmed to Triple J that Australia will receive the full live experience, with Andrew Wyatt, Theophilus London, Keyone Starr, Aussie Daniel Merriweather, oh and a special dude named Kevin Parker all performing their respective Uptown Special songs.

Yep, the most pivotal guest on the sublime Uptown Special record (aside from Bruno Mars) will be singing his three incredible tracks, Ronson explaining that he wouldn’t have dreamed of taking this show on the road if he couldn’t have Parker in tow.
“I wasn’t going to come to Australia and do shows if Kevin couldn’t come do shows with us. He’s such an important part of this record,” Ronson admitted, “so that’s massive, the fact that we’re going to be able to play ‘Daffodils’, ‘Leaving Los Feliz’, and ‘Summer Breaking’ for the first time.”
The British production wiz is super amped to return to Australia this winter, almost sounding a little nervous at the magnitude of the highly anticipated performances ahead of him, “these are the biggest shows we’ve ever played, I’m about to go into the studio and rehearse for like a month just for these shows.”
The great news doesn’t stop there, it’s also been confirmed that his Business Intl. collaborators MNDR and Alex Greenwald who appeared on the album, Record Collection, are making the trip Down Under, with supports casually including Pond, Tkay Maidza, Yolanda Be Cool and Jones Jnr. Looking to be pretty much the gig of the year, right?
