mclusky* have announced their first Aussie tour in 15 years

After more than 15 years away from Aussie shores, Welsh post-hardcore icons mclusky* are set to make their grand return next year, with the reunited group revealing a headline tour earlier today.

First forming as Best back in the mid ’90s, mclusky formally hit the scene in the early ’00s, roaring onto stereos around the world with a vital collection of raw, punk-influenced tracks.

Kicking things off with My Pain And Sadness Is More Sad And Painful Than Yours in 2000, and following it up with mclusky Do Dallas and The Difference Between Me and You Is That I’m Not on Fire in the following years, the group also hit up Aussie shores in the process, visiting in both 2003 and 2004.

Sadly, only months after their final tour to the country, mclusky revealed to their dedicated fans that they were disbanding, with reasons being chalked up to a disagreement between guitarist/vocalist Andy “Falco” Falkous and bassist John Chapple.

Sure, Falkous and drummer Jack Egglestone continued to work together as the exceptional Future Of The Left, but when a mclusky reunion was announced back in 2014, their dedicated fanbase could hardly contain themselves.

Now known as mclusky* (with an asterisk, to signify the absence of Chapple), no new music has been recorded or released, but the band have been hard at work on the touring circuit. Now, they’re set to return to Australia early in 2020.

Kicking off in Perth, mclusky* are set to visit Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane on this tour, undoubtedly bringing a show that their devoted fans have been pining for for over 15 years.
