Frustrated by the music taste of the youth today? Wish your kids were into ‘real’ music? Bunny Racket — the brainchild of an intrepid Aussie who wants to provide quality children’s entertainment that isn’t lame — is here to provide a solution.
Bunny Racket’s first album is entitled Rock ‘n’ Roll Animals and “sits somewhere between KISS, The Ramones and AC/DC teaming up with The Cat In The Hat” and features contributions from The Doors legend Robby Krieger and desert rock icon Brant Bjork.
But the creator of Bunny Racket, Andy Walker, is looking to turn his idea into a web series that mixes Sesame Street and MTV, providing educational entertainment for kids that tells a story and is accompanied by awesome desert rock music.
But Walker needs your help to bring it to fruition.
“The first Bunny Racket series will consist of 8 short episodes,” Walker’s new Kickstarter campaign reads. “Each episode features two of Bunny Racket’s songs. In this first series all the songs are about the animal kingdom: rock ‘n’ roll animals!”
“The viewer will feel that they are part of the writing process as King Bunny invites kids on a creative quest to help assemble the building blocks of songwriting. This adventure will take King Bunny to many different settings: the beautiful scenery of national parks, the excitement of music festivals, the culture at car shows and the buzz at skate parks.”
“There are lessons in basics like spelling, counting, geography and, of course, music. Our aim is to also encourage youngsters to explore their own musical creativity and to discover, with King Bunny, that it’s a process of inspiration, dedication and collaboration.”
“The world will open up up for all the kids to see because with Bunny Racket, the journey is just as important as the destination, and the destination is rock ‘n’ roll!” Check out the Bunny Racket Kickstarter right here.
