Hot Girl Summer never ends as Megan Thee Stallion has officially joined Team Roc Nation, joining J. Cole, Rihanna and Shakira. Does this make her and Shakira sisters now?

As of September 13, the 2019 XXL Freshman announced that she had officially joined the Jay-Z-founded organisation.

“I would like to announce that I am officially apart of the @rocnation fam!!!” the rapper wrote in the caption for an Instagram post featuring an image of herself and Jay. “The grind don’t stop!” she wrote in the caption along with her certified trademark hashtag #realhotgirlshit.

According to the whispers and wonderings of the music industry, Megan Thee Stallion has signed over to Roc Nation’s management side, rather than signing over to their label. Just last year the rapper signed over to 300 Entertainment, and it doesn’t look like she’ll be swapping sides anytime soon. Big things are coming for Hot Girl Summer it seems.

This signing is just the latest sign Megan is doing big things. Speaking to XXL at the Freshman cover shoot, she explained what it meant to be selected for the cover.

“Being an XXL Freshman means that I actually grinded a lot to get here,” she said at the shoot a few months ago. “I have to just keep goin’ hard, all the time. When I drop a freestyle, I’m like, This freestyle gotta go hard or when I do something it’s, How can we top this? I don’t really feel like I done made it all the way. I feel like, OK, we did this. Then we grinded enough to get to this point. Now we gotta grind enough to get bigger and bigger, you know?”
