The music lineup and menu for this year’s Fat Tuesday Festival has been finalised and it looks like this year’s event is set to be another sumptuous feast for all of your senses.

Two of Australia’s favourite New Orleans cuisine destinations, Po’ Boy Quarter and Girl with the Gris Gris, will join forces for a colourful food and music event at Piazza Italia next month.

There’ll be a rich smorgasbord of Southern food offerings, including plenty of BBQ and gumbo, with selections from Po’ Boy Quarter, Girl with the Gris Gris, and Bluebonnet BBQ & Taco Truck.

As you chow down, you’ll get to enjoy performances from Adam Rudegeair’s Bayou Tapestry with Henry Manetta, Jazz Party, Horns Of Leroy, The Always for Pleasure Allstars with Kerri Simpson, and more.

The event will be hosted by RocKwiz main man Brian Nankervis and includes sets from Mohair Slim (PBS) and Bruce Milne (RRR). There’ll be multiple bar areas and plenty of food stalls.

Other entertainment includes a funky second line brass band parade, a fortune teller’s booth, and a costume competition that will culminate with the crowning of Melbourne’s very first King and Queen of Mardi Gras.
