MGMT have admitted that their record label are pulling in the reins after their sophomore release ‘Congratulations’ slumped in spectacular fashion, with the boys even apologising for their overly-experimental efforts with the single ‘Flash Delirium’.

The Brooklyn-based frontman Andrew Van-Wyngarden stated “We have some ideas and have been talking about possible directions of where to go next,” in an interview with the Daily Record, adding “We’ve been looking at relationships with the label during the recording process and it’s quite different this time. They’ll be more involved and not give us as much freedom.”

Hopefully it won’t be too much a departure from the duo’s unique sound, as we all know, record labels don’t make the magic happen!
