Last year, Midnight Oil announced their intention to play some shows in 2017.

“We know it’s been a while but we wanted to tell you that the five of us are finally making plans to get together again for some gigs next year”, the note promised, although they quickly turned talk to other solo projects.

Now it would appear they are embarking on their first Australian tour since 2002, with Frontier Touring posting the below not-so-subtle hint on Twitter.

Looks like it’ll be a Friday announcement, followed by the blasting of ‘Blue Sky Mine’ in offices, cars, and building sites around the country.
