Already a huge name in the European music world, it’s only a matter of time before Minus Manus’ indelible imprint hits Australasia.

Let us hit you with some stats real quick: Norway’s Minus Manus (real name Magnus Bertelsen) has #1 singles in five different countries; over 1.5 billion worldwide streams as a producer and songwriter; and he helped Alan Walker with his global hits ‘Sing Me To Sleep’, ‘Different World’ and ‘Lily’ (‘Lily’ spent more than 20 weeks in the Billboard EDM top 20 chart).

He was also integral in the success of multi-award winning Norwegian teen pop group Marcus & Martinus, who wrapped up 2018 with a tour support for Jason Derulo. Bertelsen was the executive producer on their album Together, which hit #1 in Norway and Sweden, and Top 20 on the Polish, Finnish and Danish charts.

Now, with ‘I Love This Club’ just released, Minus Manus blends funk, pop and dance for an infectious earworm that pushes against boundaries in all the best ways.

As his debut single under this solo project, ‘I Love This Club’ is restless, experimental, but utterly addictive. In the same way Max Martin is synonymous with commercial pop, Minus Manus has all the makings to be synonymous with the dancefloor.

“‘I Love This Club’; was written in a session in London a little while ago, just after I started working on my own songs,” Minus Manus said. “Although I’ve been producing countless songs for other artists before, this one felt extra special to me.

“I wanted ‘I Love This Club ‘to be my debut single because it brings out a new side of me as a producer,” he added. “I think we really hit a nerve with the dark vibe and the hooky, yet quirky, vocal melody.”

Managed by Erlend Buflaten out of Propeller Management in Norway, and signed to Sony Music Europe for rest-of-world outside his hometown, Minus Manus’ solo debut may just eclipse his biggest co-writes yet.
