Alice Coltrane – Journey in Satchidananda
This was the first time I had heard harp being used as the lead instrument. The album has some great voodoo through out.
Royce wood Junior- Honeydripper (alt mix)
I nearly crashed the car when I heard the alternate mix of RWJ ‘Honeydripper’. I think it was on FBI. I ended up sending him a msg telling him I was impressed but kind of pissed off at how good he was, in nicest possible way. He found it rather amusing.
Atoms For Peace- Judge Jury and Executioner
I love the production and vocal approach of Thom Yorke. This is another one I heard on the radio first and had to pull the car over.
Caribou- Can’t Do Without You
I love listening to the journey of Caribou from early more psychedelic pop to the more dance influenced sounds of now. This track is a stand out.
Fela Kuti – Suffering and shambling
I reckon the best party is a Fela Kuti party. All night all day.
