Now if you’re anything like us, you’ll have been missing the unmistakable feeling of a hard-hitting sesh in a mosh pit, and now we’ve come across a video that will tug on your heartstrings even more.

With it being almost six months since festivals and large-scale gigs in Australia were postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve been looking back through some classic concerts.

The legends at Warped Tour Updates (who aren’t actually affiliated with the Warped Tour), have put together an amazing slow-motion video containing footage from a stack of mosh pits and death pits from the festival.

But this video isn’t just people smashing into one another, oh no, it’s so much more.

The punches, body slams, spin kicks and shadow boxing is soundtracked to perfection by ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion. The result is absolute perfection!

Known for soundtracking nostalgic sporting moments, the classic Dion track was originally recorded in 1997 and popularised by the Titanic soundtrack.

As it turns out, ‘My Heart Will Go On’ gives us just as much nostalgia for mosh pits as any great sporting moment, especially with no real timeline on when bigger style gigs might return to most parts of Australia.

Even when larger concerts do return, it doesn’t look like moshing and crowdsourcing will be a part of the norm anymore, with the Event Safety Alliance recently sharing how new regulations could impact returning events.

Releasing a 30-page guide, the alliance said “a few obvious changes will be necessary whenever GA events do reopen.

“Patrons cannot all stand at the front of the stage like they are accustomed; moshing and crowdsurfing are violations of social distancing, per se, and must be absolutely prohibited during this pandemic.”

In the meantime, enjoy how things used to be!
