We know it can get tough out there in the mean alleyways of Sesame Street, with new problems presenting themselves every single day. And while the issues on Sesame Street are often resolved a little more neatly than they are in the real world, its inner-city aesthetic means that it pairs incredibly well with hip hop.
The latest example comes from the appropriately-named YouTube mashup artist ‘isthishowyougoviral’, and is an incredibly well-edited mashup of Sesame Street footage reenacting the Beastie Boys’ iconic clip for ‘Sabotage’, which took out best video at the MTV VMAs way back in ’94.
Big Bird takes the lead role in this one, renamed ‘Sesametage’ of course, which centres around a police chase cut together with an array of Muppets-based footage, and is dedicated to the late Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch.
