A new novel is due to be published on October 1st based on the life of Manic Street Preachers lyricist Richey Edwards.
15 years ago Richey Edwards, MSP guitarist and lyricist, went MIA and since then all investigations have come to nothing; in 2008 he was officially presumed dead.
The novel, simply titled Richard, will be a fictional account of his life based on facts. Author Ben Myers says that he felt a fictional account would be a better platform, as Edwards himself was a literary figure and was accountable for most of the bands more poetic work.
He added that “(The novel) asks more questions than it provides answers and therefore is merely a version of a truth – as opposed to the truth.”
