Serial awards ceremony pest and occasional performer Kanye West has announced through a chat with fans on streaming site Ustream that he will be putting out a new album in November, which is fortunately not titled Good Ass Job any more. West has also promised to release a new single in about two weeks which will be either “Lost in the World” or another called “All of the Lights”.

In the webstream he has also name checked Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor as lyrical inspiration, while the Wu Tang’s RZA, Pete Rock and Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip have been handling production duties in the studio. With customary modesty, he’s also declared the album a masterpiece, comparing it to the work of Michelangelo and Avatar director James Cameron.

Kanye puffed “When I make music, I’m not really thinking of other rapper’s albums, I’m trying to make my music compete with that [Alexander] McQueen collection. I’m not saying it does; I’m just saying that is the goal … Hopefully this album – if not this album, then the next album – will be [my] masterwork. That Avatar-level [work].”

“I try to compete against the past,” he continued, clearly wracked with self doubt. . “I think Michelangelo, Picasso, the pyramids. That’s the reason I put like 5,000 hours into a song like [new single] Power. What we’re doing in this era is light work compared to … past monuments.”
