Every day we’re faced with an onslaught of album announcements so we thought we’d start sharing the soon-to-be-released love by putting together a list of the most notable and exciting album announcements on a weekly basis.

Jeremy Neale
In Stranger Times

The Velociraptor frontman’s debut solo EP is finally here and it doesn’t look like the Brisbane-based singer is straying far from the music he’s released to much acclaim before with a decidedly ’60s vibe throughout.

The release takes a walk through Mersey Beat, ’60s girl groups and garage-pop and is punctuated in it’s finale with a somewhat dark crooner.

All six tracks were recorded and mixed by Sean Cook and Tony Buchen and produced by Cook, Buchen and Neale.

In Stranger Times is out November 1st through Create Control

Future Of The Left
How To Stop Your Brain In An Accident & Human Death

The leading release from the record is the menacing self-proclaimed “stapled diet of rodents” Bread, Cheese, Bow and Arrow. The track traces a brooding stop/start soft/loud formula that builds into an exploding heavy jam closing out the track.

Future of the Left have ever so graciously detailed a 14-track release for How To Stop Your Brain In An Accident to which they’ve stated “clearly the best album yet” and “no, it’s not open to debate”.

14 songs not enough? Future of the Left are releasing at the exact same time a mini album entitled Human Death comprising of a 6 tracks of madness.

Paul Kelly & Neil Finn
Goin’ Your Own Way

Neil Finn and Paul Kelly are no doubt two of the biggest names in Australian music. In early 2013, the two songwriters put together a special concert tour – which EMI Music Australia are proud to release on CD, DVD and Blu-Ray this November.

Recorded at the Sydney Opera House, ‘Goin’ My Way’ consists of plenty of hits, but also some new songs and a few surprises. It’s a sublime meeting of talents, and a showcase of a friendship that’s lasted more than 25 years.

“We didn’t want this to be in any way a token romp through each other’s songs,” said Neil. “We wanted to put the work and time into creating distinctive versions that are unique to this tour and are never going to sound the same again.”

Voted “Best Australian Contemporary Concert” at the prestigious Helpmann Awards and attended by over 100,000 people at 21 sold-out shows, ‘Goin’ Your Way’ is a once-in-a-lifetime reimagining of some classic Australian songs – and one not to be missed.

Goin’ Your Way is to be released November 8th through EMI Music Australia.
