The Lost Weekend Festival being held in Brisbane from 5 – 7th March has had to move venues due to an apparent licensing dispute. Originally slated to be held as a camping festival on the outskirts of town, it has been moved to an inner city location and a day shaved off the running time. It will now run on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March.

“We will continue to work with the venue and local authorities towards holding an event of the originally intended nature at Ivory’s Rock Conference Centre ¬– all parties have been keen to make The Lost Weekend work and we still believe we will achieve this in time,” said the promoter.. “But in the end we needed to make sure we could provide the best experience at the inaugural event for both patrons and artists alike.”

All current tickets will be valid for the new venue. People who have already purchased tickets will be contacted by the organisers of The Lost Weekend shortly and be explained their options. Full refunds will be available.

As a result of moving to Brisbane Riverstage The Lost Weekend is now all ages event. Under 18s have limited access (full vision of all stages but not full run of the site), so they’ll no doubt be sucking on goon bags and running around on pingers – hopefully sans Aussie flags.
