You can’t please everyone, particularly amongst the fragile egos of rock musicians; but Triple J’s The Doctor, AKA Lindsay McDougall of Frenzal Rhomb managed to really rub Queens of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme up the wrong way during an interview on Friday afternoon. The interview seemed to be going well, until The Doctor decided to bring up the fact that his breakfast show colleagues were ‘stood up’ by Homme several days earlier outside the Enmore Theatre in Sydney.

Homme explained that it wasn’t his fault, but The Doctor said that he’d nominate him for his regular segment which is to find the Friday Fuckwit. Homme wasn’t too pleased with this nomination and the interview instantly took a frosty turn.  Homme retorted saying that The Doctor ‘had a better chance of winning it’. As the interview went further south Homme became increasingly hostile and it came to an abrupt end with the Queens front man throwing his microphone and headphones down and storming out of the studio.
