Diamond Dave (AKA David Lee Roth) has always been about the love, so when he spotted two fans fighting at a Van Halen concert for the recently reformed band he called proceedings to a halt and laid down the law.

The recently reformed group were just getting started on a cover of Roy Orbison classic ‘(Oh) Pretty Woman’ at a concert in New Hampshire in the United States when the eagle eyed Roth spotted the duo going at it.

Stopping the band, Roth took the opportunity to publicly admonish the fighting fans declaring “Knock off the f**king fighting. F**k you!” to cheers from other fans.

“What do you think this is, a f**king mosh pit?” he continued. “You’ve got all the best looking women on the f**king east coast here and all you can f**king think of is f**king fighting?!?”

“Ladies, I’m on your side, yeah,” Dave added, to more applause before turning back to the other band members and telling them to take it from the top.

Fan footage that has emerged of the incident shows venue security quickly stepping in to clean up the mess as Van Halen kicked back into gear.

It isn’t the first time a musician has used the stage to take on rowdy members of the crowd, Dave Grohl also told a fan to ‘fuck off’ at a concert last year after he was causing problems with fans around him.
