Last week unlikely bedfellows Lou Reed and Metallica released a 30 second snippet of their upcoming collaboration album Lulu. The extract was taken from song ‘The View’ and Tone Deaf fans reacted with almost universal displeasure.

There was also news from London that advertising for the record, which featured the recently released album artwork, had been banned from the London Underground because it looked too similar to street graffiti.

This week they’ve released the entire song ‘The View’, probably hoping that hearing more of the song will somehow make it sound good. It doesn’t. Reed rambling over lazy Metallica guitar work isn’t exactly inspiring. There is one shining light, when Reed reaches the uptempo chorus the mess somehow manages to pull itself together.

Either way, we don’t think you’ll enjoy this anymore than you did the initial 30 seconds but for those curious here it is anyway:
