The Jungle Giants Australian Tour 2014 has been announced with the Brisbane indie popsters embarking on another trip of the country.

With a huge 2013 behind them and a series of Big Day Out performances under their belts, The Jungle Giants are wrapped to announce one last round of capital city dates.

The tour – which the band has lovingly named the ‘Tuss Tour’ – includes All Ages and Under 18s shows. It will also see The Jungle Giants take over the lane way behind historic Fortitude Valley venue Ric’s for ‘Ric’s Big Backyard’; a block party of epic proportions. The line up includes The Jungle Giants, Millions, Little Odessa, ShortStraw and Moses Gun Collective as well as DJ sets from some of Brisbane’s finest party DJs.

The ‘Tuss Tour’ will follow The Jungle Giants’ trip to the US where the band will be playing at 2014’s South By South West festival, as one of a record-breaking 55 acts headed to the Austin, Texas music industry conference this year.

Post-‘Tuss’ The Jungle Giants take their place on the huge Groovin’ The Moo 2014 lineup that will see them perform at many regional centres throughout the country. The Jungle Giants will then take some time to write the follow-up to their 2013 debut album Learn To Exist.

‘Tuss’ is a word-in-jest and an insight into the life and times of The Jungle Giants. “It’s a word my housemate gave me that describes what The Jungle Giants do to each other,” says the band’s frontman Sam Hales. “We are always messing around. Smacking each other in the face. Playing around. We call it ‘tussing’ each other – It can be physical or psychological. It’s perfectly annoying and perfectly great.”

Joining The Jungle Giants for the run of shows will be fellow Brisbane kids Millions and South Africa’s ShortStraw who will be visiting Australia for the first time.

The ‘Tuss Tour’ will see The Jungle Giants at their madcap, energetic best.
