The Nick Cave Australian Tour 2014 has added final dates, following overwhelming demand for the solo trek from one of Australia’s most influential and important music icons.
With second shows in Perth and Melbourne and the fourth show in Sydney selling out in recent weeks it means that thirteen shows on the sixteen date Nick Cave Australian Tour 2014 in November and December are now sold out.
There is now one last chance to catch the show in Melbourne, with an additional date on Thursday 18 December at the Plenary added to meet demand. This final show in Melbourne will go on sale at www.oztix.com.au on Tuesday 26th August. Tickets for dates in Adelaide, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast are also still available.
The full ensemble of musicians joining Nick Cave for these performances is Warren Ellis (Guitar/Violin/Mandolin/Loops), Martyn Casey; (Bass), Thomas Wydler (Drums/Percussion) and Barry Adamson (Keys/Vibes).

Cave will be presenting an evening of songs from right across his considerable catalogue, including from the latest entry in his discography, the mutli-award-winning, AMP-nominated Push The Sky Away. The album became Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ first-ever #1 album in their 30 year history, scooped two ARIA Awards (for Best Independent Release and Best Adult Contemporary Album) and was a darling of critics worldwide (including Tone Deaf readers who named it the #1 Aussie album of 2013).
The Nick Cave Solo Australian Tour also follows the latest creative endeavour for the artist, the genre-defying documentary 20,000 Days On Earth, the debut directorial feature by British visual artists lain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.

The film portrays a fictionalized 24 hours in Nick’s life. With startlingly frank insights and an intimate portrayal of the artistic process, the film examines what makes us who we are, and celebrates the transformative power of the creative spirit.
20,000 Days On Earth made its World Premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where it was awarded “Best Directing” and “Best Editing” Awards in the World Cinema Documentary category and opens theatrically in Australia and New Zealand soon.
Cave last toured Australia in 2013 with the Bad Seeds for the release of Push the Sky Away in what was a spectacular run of sold out shows in some of Australia’s most revered live music spaces including the Sydney Opera House, Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Brisbane Riverstage and Red Hill Auditorium.
