We announced earlier in the week that Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds will bring their renowned live show to Australia in February and March 2013 along with dropping a brand new single witha new album Push Away The Sky,to come in early 2013. The band revealed details about the upcoming release late last weeek.
Tickets went on sale today and went wild across the country with Sydney Opera House selling out two nights, adding a third and then selling that out all in the first hour (and crashing the Opera House website in the process).
The band has added an extra Sydney date to end the Australian tour at the Enmore Theatre on Saturday 9 March which will go on sale tomorrow, Friday 7 December.
Tickets are selling fast for all shows and there will be no further shows added to the schedule.
On this tour the band will bring music from right across their fifteen studio albums including the rich inquisitiveness of their beautiful new long player ‘Push The Sky Away’ (released Feb 15 2013).
Always powerful and engaging, the band featuring Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Jim Sclavunos, Thomas Wydler, Martyn Casey, Ed Kuepper and Conway Savage will take to the stage in Australia’s most majestic and beautiful venues with the grandest production of their career.
