Nick Cave has shared a positive update regarding the band’s forthcoming record.

This past month has seen Cave bring his ‘Conversations with Nick Cave’ event all around Australia. The event saw the punk poet engage in candid conversation with his most devoted fans, as well as performs his most beloved songs on piano.

At a recent show in Melbourne, Cave offered fans an update about The Bad Seeds seventeenth album. Cave shared, “We’ve really nearly finished a new record, I would say. And it’s an amazing thing in my opinion.”

“I’m very, very excited about it.”

Not as excited as we are.

This release would be the band’s first since 2016’s poignant, critically-acclaimed Skeleton Tree.

Last year, Nick Cave’s wife, model Suzie Bick revealed that Cave was hard at work on a new album. In a blog post, Bick revealed “He [Nick] is in LA making a new record. Some of his songs reveal themselves at night in his fever dreams. They are his Fever Songs.” Read her full blog post here.
