As COVID-19 continues to spread and cause mass hysteria, it looks like more and more things are cancelling before our very eyes, and the latest to postpone dates are Nine Inch Nails and Tool.

Nine Inch Nails and Tool have both had massive performances cancelled and postponed due to the Coronavirus on Thursday. Nine Inch Nails were set to perform and accept their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month, which as of today has been postponed with no clear date set for the Hall of Fame Ceremony.

In an official statement, the Rock Hall said: “The health and safety of our fans and visitors is our highest priority. Given recent news regarding coronavirus and the urging by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine regarding large public gatherings, we have made the decision to postpone the 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Induction Week festivities until later this year. Additional details, including new dates and ticket information, will be announced shortly and shared directly with ticket holders and supporters. Details of the rescheduled HBO live broadcast of the event will be announced at a later date as well.”

This week Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson issued a Proclamation of Civil Emergency with the goal of minimising the impact, severity and duration of COVID-19 as it spreads. “To me, the most important thing is minimizing the impact [of the coronavirus]” said the Mayor. County Executive Armond Budish also issued a State of Emergency declaration yesterday that helped inform our decision.”

Tool’s show in Oregon at the Matthew Knight Arena has also been pushed back. The Matt Arena tweeted, “Due to the Oregon Governor’s order issued last night, the TOOL concert for tonight 3/12 has been POSTPONED. As soon as we have more details, we will send out more information. Thank you for your patience!”
