No, no he’s not giving a public apology for the cocaine induced drivel that was Be Here Now. Noel Gallagher has tendered a victim impact statement to a Toronto court in relation to an incident at the Virgin Festival there in 2008 when a drunk fan bum rushed the Oasis guitarist on stage. According to London’s The Sun; Noel , who copped three broken ribs in the melée, says in the statement: “I would describe the impact and shock as feeling as if I had been hit by a bus. I ended up in a heap.”
Noel, who once upon a time was quite fond of offering others – particularly his brother – out for a fight, is a much sookier proposition these days. His statement continued to whine:
“I have been told that I will never really recover from the damage and still feel painful twinges. The emotional impact it had was essentially coping with the pressure to perform so as not to let the band down. For a considerable period I was operating at 50 per cent of my capabilities.”
