Lucas Starr, founding member and bassist of legendary metalcore at Oh, Sleeper, has passed away. He was 34. Starr passed on December 7th. Starr was diagnosed with stage 4 colon earlier this year.

Starr performed on the first three Oh, Sleeper records before departing in 2011.

Starr performed on the band’s first two albums When I Am God (2009) and Son of the Morning (2011). Prior to Oh, Sleeper, Starr played in post-hardcore band Terminal.

Oh, Sleeper vocalist Shane Blay has shared a tribute to the late bassist on Instagram, sharing “I snapped this photo the first time our music took us overseas… sorry, it’s shit.. you were always better at photos than me. At a loss for words right now, stage left will never be the same.”
