After several years on the live scene, Perth band Archer And Light have burst forth with their latest EP, Our Love Is Confetti. Drawing influence from the likes of Bright Eyes, Bon Iver, and Death Cab For Cutie, the band are exceptionally talented, both in the art of their individual instruments, and the ensemble in their songs.

Our Love Is Confetti tells tales of love, loss, and life and whilst staying faithful to these classic themes, the group manages to stand out in uniqueness and their talent for avoiding clichés.

Particularly outstanding are the clever lyrics of each of their tracks; the group has mastered the art of story telling, and front man James Luscombe, and Steph Ryan come together in an outstanding harmony to divulge stories and secrets.

Each member of the band possess a talent that any established artist would want to rival; technically, they are all superb. There are a couple of points where the overall sound feels a little empty, though on the whole, the sound they create together is passionate and real.

The stand out track is their single “Melbourne (I Used To Be Your All)”, a driving number that features each member at their finest. Honourable mention goes to the final track “Young”, a gorgeous story of youth, innocence and friendship.

Archer And Light are a band to look out for, and are touring nationally at selected locations promoting Our Love Is Confetti from September 27.
