Monday night’s APRA awards saw plenty of winners, with Flume getting three nods and D.D. Dumbo taking out the Song of the Year with ‘Satan’ off his 2016 debut LP, but one of the undeniable highlights of the night was a heartfelt tribute to legendary Indigenous performer Archie Roach.

Paul Kelly, A.B. Original and Dan Sultan joined forces for a special rendition of ‘Took the Children Away’, which incorporated aspects of Briggs’ ‘The Children Came Back’, as well as A.B. Original and Paul Kelly’s version of ‘Dumb Things’ made famous on triple j’s Like A Version.

The result is a twisting, turning tribute to the iconic Uncle Archie that lasts for almost ten minutes, all of which you can soak up below.
