Happy Wednesday! Paul McCartney released his eighteenth studio album Egypt Station last week. And the musician has taken a risque approach to promoting the whole shebang.

In an interview with GQ the 76-year-old rock veteran has recalled an impromptu group masturbation that was hosted by John Lennon.

In the interview, McCartney referred to it as a “bonding experience”. I mean, who needs bowling right? This is how it all went down.

“What it was, was over at John’s house, and it was just a group of us. And instead of just getting roaring drunk and partying–we were all just in these chairs, and the lights were out, and somebody started masturbating, so we all did.”

McCartney explained that there were about five people present. McCartney, Lennon and three of Lennon friends. They all concentrated on the mission at hand, and were ‘encouraged’ to shout names that would offer…. stimulation?.

McCartney continued “We were just, ‘Brigitte Bardot!’ ‘Whoo!. And then everyone would thrash a bit more. I think it was John sort of said, ‘Winston Churchill!'”

When asked if this was a regular occurrence McCartney revealed “I think it was a one-off. Or maybe it was like a two-off. It wasn’t a big thing. But, you know, it was just the kind of thing you didn’t think much of. It was just a group. Yeah, it’s quite raunchy when you think about it. There’s so many things like that from when you’re a kid that you look back on and you’re, ‘Did we do that?’ But it was good harmless fun. It didn’t hurt anyone. Not even Brigitte Bardot.”

So there you have it. You can read the full interview in all it’s glory here.
