The upcoming tour for Irish rock icons U2 is well and truly on the way, with pre-sale tickets going on sale earlier today.

Last week, U2 announced that they are set to make their long-awaited return to Australia this November, playing their first Aussie shows since 2010 when they bring The Joshua Tree tour down under.

Of course, as one of the biggest bands in the world, this news undoubtedly sent fans into a frenzy, with many wanting to ensure they got their hands on tickets as soon as possible.

While general public passes are set to go on sale next Tuesday, and with a U2 fan-club pre-sale already underway, it looks as though your average punter now has the chance to get their hands on tickets sooner rather than later.

According to Live Nation members, the company has kicked off a pre-sale earlier this afternoon, with members who have signed up able to get their hands on tickets ahead of time.

Kicking off at 1pm in Melbourne and 3pm in Sydney today, if you’re keen to secure your spot now, head over to the Live Nation website here, sign up for an account, and ticket links will appear on the site.

The pre-sale appears to run from Thursday, June 6th until 5pm local time on Sunday, June 9th. So if you want to make sure you beat the crowds, now’s the time to head along and sign up for those tickets.

Get in quick though, because there’s a very strong chance that this tour will sell out in no time. And, if the biggest single from The Joshua Tree has taught us anything, U2 will be kicking off this tour in November… with or without you.
